Subject: OPRA request - Invoice of Body Camera Purchase in the Police Department

Dear Long Hill Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.

24 body cameras.

2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).

March 2018 (Axon) one year pilot program.
March 2019 (WatchGuard) to present.

3. All invoices of body cameras purchases (if body cameras were purchased).

I do not have invoices but I have attached the minutes from the 2/27/2019 indicating a capital purchase of $98, 029.00 for WatchGuard.

4. Dates of initial body camera assignment for each police officer currently employed.

Each officer is not assigned a specific camera. The bank of 24 body cameras is accessible to all officers who sign them out at the beginning of their shift in compliance with the Attorney General Directive.

Yours faithfully,

T. Kim
