Information Request NHT School Board Required Training
Dear North Hanover Township School District,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to request a full record of all training completed by the members of the North Hanover Township Board of Education. Specifically, I am seeking documentation for the following:
- All **initial training** completed by board members, including any ethics, governance, or other mandatory sessions.
- All **ongoing training** completed, such as governance training or other required programs for each member.
- Any **harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB) training** that members have completed.
- Any **advanced training** undertaken by board members, including after re-election or re-appointment.
If possible, I would appreciate it if you could provide the training records for all board members currently serving and for the previous two years - the current term, including any and all completed through January 1, 2023 - January 22, 2025.
Please let me know if there are any forms or additional procedures, I need to follow to process this request. I would be grateful if the records could be made available in either digital format or physical copies, depending on what is most convenient.
If my request falls under the scope of public records, I understand it may be processed as an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request, and I am happy to provide any further information necessary to assist with fulfilling this request.
