Good morning,

I heard back from Public Safety.  They advised that there are numerous
incidents during the time frame you provided.  Are you looking for
incidents involving all campuses? If NOT, please let us know as this may
help expedite the search.

Also, there are some incidents where the officer is still working on the
report which may delay producing it to you.

We also have to determine if the prosecutor is going to investigate any
incidents.  Under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3.a  records pertaining to ongoing
investigations are exempted from disclosure under the law; as well as
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1(4) which exempts criminal investigatory records.  We
have to determine if there will be an investigation of any of the
incidents. 

In light of the above, , I am requesting until January 17, 2023 to respond
on behalf of Rowan.  This would be an additional 7 business days from the
original response due date of January 11, 2023.

Please let me know if you have any concerns or objections to the request
for an extension.  Otherwise, I will assume you agree to the extension.

Good afternoon,

Please accept this as Rowan’s completed response to your January 1, 2023
OPRA request (below) for “any and all incident reports, arrest reports,
EMS Requests CAD details, officer reports, law enforcement reports,
probable cause findings for any incident regarding Rowan Police or Rowan
Security between the hours of 12AM on January 1st , 2023 to 6am January
1st, 2023.”

OPRA requires a response within seven business days.  In this case, that
would be January 11, 2023. We agreed to extend the response time to
January 17, 2023.  We are able to produce documents for all but one
incident which is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office.

This response is being provided on within the sixth business day from the
original request. I believe this is a full response to your OPRA request
and Rowan will close this request unless you advise otherwise.

If you have any questions and/or would like to discuss this matter
further, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time.
