Good Morning
An extension until Friday August 25, is required to provide a response to
your opra request
Good Morning,
In response to your opra request dated July 27, 2018:
#'s 2.,3. & 4.: Denied as requiring research. The custodian of records is obligated to search files to find identifiable government records listed in a request, however the custodian is not required to research files to figure out which records might be responsive. For this reason, these questions are denied. See Donata v. Twp. Of Union, GRC Complaint No. 2005-182.
#5. Denied as many of the messages concern tips of crimes which would be confidential. Additionally, this request is overbroad and would require research to determine if individual messages were responsive. Additionally, this request is denied as inimical to the public interest. See Henderson v. New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, GRC Complaint No. 2010-139 (May 2011).
#6; Sgt. Kevin Fair and Sgt. Charles Stuart.
Sgt. Fair is the City's current and only Public Information Officer.
#7.: There are no documents that would satisfy this requested item.
