Emails from Councilperson Shaneka Boucher
Dear Camden City,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Copies of any emails sent from Councilperson Shaneka Boucher with the words EMR, "Eastern Metal Recycling", Covanta, or microgrid in the subject line or email body sent from any email address the councilwoman uses to discuss this city business including but not limited to her Camden City email address and her Gmail address.
Please include the date sent, recipients, subject, email body, and copies of any attachments.
2. Copies of any Facebook messenger messages sent from Councilperson Shaneka Boucher's official Councilperson Facebook page with the words EMR, "Eastern Metal Recycling", Covanta, or microgrid.
3. A list of any accounts the councilwoman has blocked on her official Councilperson facebook page as of 3/10/2021.

Good morning,
Thank you for your patience. Attached please find responsive information
in regards to your submitted OPRA request. Per our Law Department:
“Please be advised that the City has no control or oversight over Ms.
Boucher’s Facebook and g-mail accounts. However, the redacted documents
do include e-mails from Ms. Boucher’s city e-mail account to her g-mail
account as well as from Ms. Boucher’s g-mail account to her City e-mail
account as these would be found on Ms. Boucher’s city e-mail account.
Please be advised that the only redactions that were made for “e-mails
sent from Councilperson Boucher with the words EMR, ‘Eastern Metal
Recycling’, Covanta or microgrid in the subject line or e-mail body” were
because they were not relevant [individual who printed each e-mail out] or
constituted personal information:
For the personal information, the OPRA Statute specifically provides at
NJSA 47:1A-1.1:
“A public body has a responsibility and an obligation to safeguard from
public access a citizen’s personal information with which it has been
entrusted when disclosure thereof would violate the citizen’s reasonable
expectation of privacy.”’
This concludes the City’s response to your submitted OPRA request. Your
OPRA request is now closed.
