Copies of legal contact logs made pursuant to Policy 0174
Dear Lacey Township School District,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Pursuant to Lacey BOE Policy 0174, which provides in pertinent part "The designated contact person(s) shall maintain a log of all legal counsel contact including the name of the legal counsel contacted, date of the contact, issue discussed, and length of contact."
I am requesting a copy of all legal contact logs made by the said designated contact persons pursuant to Policy 0174 for the period of May 1st, 2019 to December 31st, 2019.

In accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-5.1(a)(3), District Police 0174
provides in pertinent part, "School districts with legal costs that exceed
one hundred thirty percent of the Statewide average per pupil amount
should establish the procedures outlined in 1., 2., 3., and 4. below..."
Your OPRA request quotes the procedure outlined in paragraph 3 and
requests the log referenced therein. The District's legal expenses do not
exceed 130% of the statewide average per pupil amount per the Taxpayers'
Guide to Education Spending. Thus, pursuant to Policy and N.J.A.C.
6A:23A-5.1(a)(3), the District is not required to and does not maintain
the requested record.
