I am respectfully requesting a copy of the most recent and/or current contract agreement including but not limited to any Memorandum(s) of Understanding (MOU) or Memorandum(s) of Agreement (MOA) between the Monmouth County Prosecutor/County of Monmouth and the Detectives/Investigators of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office (possibly PBA Local 256). This afternoon, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) received your OPRA request for "a copy of the most recent and/or current contract agreement including but not limited to any Memorandum(s) of Understanding (MOU) or Memorandum(s) of Agreement (MOA) between the Monmouth County Prosecutor/County of Monmouth and the Detectives/Investigators of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office (possibly PBA Local 256)." We timely respond in accordance with N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(e).
The MCPO interprets your request to refer to the sworn rank and file County Investigators it employs - those represented by PBA 256 (commonly called "Detectives"). Attached please find the current collective negotiation agreement between the County and PBA 256 and a "sidebar" amendment that also applies to PBA 256 and another union. The parties remain in negotiations for a successor agreement and so this contract continues to remain in force until negotiations are completed.
With transmission of the attached records, we consider this request satisfied.
