Compensation of all municipal employees for the year 2025
Dear Lyndhurst Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested: Compensation of all municipal employees for the year 2025 broken down by Department and including the following information: name, title, base pay, longevity, overtime, other compensation, and total compensation in Excel format.

responsive report. Please note this is the only report the Township can
generate responsive to your request.
Per OPRA a custodian is not required to fulfill an OPRA request if they
determine that the request would require research and the collection of
information from the contents of government records and the creation of a
new government record setting forth that research and information N.J.S.A.

It seems that Police officer salaries were not included in the report and overtime for each employee was also not included so an accurate picture of total compensation for every municipal employee has not been provided as per the OPRA request.

I apologize, you are correct. The Lyndhurst Police Department salaries
were a separate report that was not originally provided to me. I have
attached this report.
Our software is limited in its scope and we are unable to generate one
report containing all of the information you are seeking, along with
breakdowns. The reports provided is all we can produce. We are not
required to do research or "create" a document responsive to a request
regarding OPRA.
Overtime is listed as a lump sum under the corresponding department.
Overtime is not offered in every department.
