Code Violation List Request
Dear Interlaken Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL use the requested government records for a commercial purpose (Real Estate).
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Code Violation List Request for 06/17/2026 to 08/09/2026 . I kindly request a list of all UNRESOLVED or OPEN code violations (please do not include closed violations) for all properties in the city during this time period, specifically related to property maintenance, structural issues, and weeds. Please include descriptions of the violations, property addresses, and violation dates. I also prefer for the document to be sent here in OPRA not in my email (sometimes it does not appear in my inbox). Thank you so much!
Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Emma
Good Morning,
I am in receipt of your OPRA request sent by email to L. Farruggia on August 10,
2026.
Please note that the Borough does not maintain the Code Violation List you
requested. However, as there are a few items that pertain to your request, I
have compiled the following information:
- 634 Windermere Avenue, Interlaken: The homeowner was issued a summons
regarding a fallen tree that had not been removed. The tree was removed
immediately upon issuance of the summons and prior to the July 22, 2026 court
date. The homeowner failed to appear for court, and a new date has been
scheduled for August 26, 2026.
- 405 Buttermere Avenue: The owner was issued a summons for parking vehicles
on the lawn, which is prohibited. The vehicles were removed upon receipt of the
summons. The court date is scheduled for August 26, 2026.
- 414 Grassmere Avenue: The owner was issued a summons for an accumulation of
rubbish on the property. The court date is scheduled for August 26, 2026.
There are no other open violations.
I consider this a complete fulfillment of the OPRA request.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions pertaining to this
information.
Please submit a subsequent request should you require additional information.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
--
