Changes to Ocean County Welfare from 1/1/2019 to Present
Dear Ocean County Board of Social Services,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
CWA Local 1088, representing the non-supervisory employees of the Ocean County Board of Social Services, respectfully submits this Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request the County of Ocean to provide our Union the following:
1. Documents delineating the number of clients our agency has annually serviced, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
2. Documents delineating the dates overtime was offered within our agency and the costs of same, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
3. Documents delineating the titles of all employees of our agency, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
4. Documents delineating the number of employees within each of the titles amongst all of the employees of our agency, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
5. Documents delineating the number of vacancies within our agency, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
6. Documents delineating the number of staff turnovers (e.g. retirements, resignations, removals, deaths), respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year.
7. Documents delineating the number of overdue cases within our agency, respectively, between January 1, 2019 to present broken out by each year by the type of cases (e.g., SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, etc.).

We received your OPRA request below dated March 13, 2023. I believe this is a duplicate of the request you sent to the County of Ocean on 3/05/23 which was forwarded to OCBSS by the Clerk of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners. OCBSS is a separate autonomous agency from the County of Ocean.
In any event, I was already working on obtaining the information you requested and should have the response to you by tomorrow, 3/15/23, in accordance with OPRA's allowance of seven (7) business days to respond. I just wanted you to know that we were already working on obtaining the documentation you requested.
