The Township of North Bergen (the “Township”) received your request dated 07/26/2026 under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.

Please be advised as of September 3, 2024, all requests submitted pursuant to OPRA must contain: (1) a certification whether the requestor has been convicted of a crime in New Jersey, any other state, or of the United States; (2) a certification regarding whether the record is being sought in connection with a legal proceeding; and (c) a certification regarding whether the record(s) sought will be used by the requestor or another person for a commercial purpose. N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5. “Commercial purpose” is defined as “the direct or indirect use of any part of a government record for . . . any use by which the user expects a profit either through commission, salary, or fee.” A requestor who intentionally fails to certify that a request is for a commercial purpose may be fined a civil penalty of $1,000 for the first offense, $2,500 for the second offense, and $5,000 for each subsequent offense.

Please provide CCTV video for the area of Bergenline Avenue and 79th Street for July 22, 2026 between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm. I'm specifically looking for the video pointing towards La Sorentina only. As a frame of reference, there will be a black Tesla parked at the corner during this period.

Township Response:

Please be advised that the requested CCTV footage is available on a USB drive for pickup. The cost of the USB drive is $5.00. You may pick it up at the Clerk's Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

As with any OPRA request, you have the right to challenge the decision by the Township to deny access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government records Council (“GRC”) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
