Please accept this electronic request for public records made under the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and the common law right of access. Per N.J.S.A. 47:1A-6(f), an email containing all information required on the adopted form constitutes a valid request — no official form or proprietary platform is required.
I am submitting this request as an independent member of the public. I became aware of a prior OPRA request seeking these same records — Reference No. OPR-2025-063 — through OPRAMachine.com, a public transparency platform. I was not the original requestor. I am submitting this request in my own name because I believe the prior denial under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3(a) was legally insufficient, and because the public has a legitimate and ongoing interest in the conduct of its police department. Municipal law enforcement activity — particularly arrests — does not lose its public character simply because a matter has been resolved. Accountability to residents requires more than a bare statutory citation.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Any and all of the following records pertaining to the traffic stop and arrest of Blaze Iannetti on or about August 27–28, 2025, in relation to the following docket numbers: S 2025 702, E25 2431, E25 2432, E25 2433, E25 2434, E25 2435, and E25 2436:
The police report for the traffic stop and arrest
Body worn camera footage of the traffic stop and arrest
In-car camera and/or audio recordings of the traffic stop and arrest
As all charges associated with the above docket numbers have been fully disposed of as of December 2025 — including charges under N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10, 39:4-50, 39:4-97, 39:4-96, 39:4-88, 39:4-123, and 39:4-49.1 — any exemption premised on an active criminal investigation under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3(a) no longer applies. I respectfully ask that each record category be evaluated individually, and that any denial or partial denial be accompanied by a specific, particularized explanation of the exemption claimed — not merely a statutory citation.

1. Police reports: Any and all police reports (incident, arrest, investigation, and supplemental) relating to the docket numbers previously referenced — S 2025 702, E25 2431, E25 2432, E25 2433, E25 2434, E25 2435, and E25 2436.
2. Body-worn camera footage: BWC video from all responding officers, covering the traffic stop from the moment of initiation through the officers leaving the scene.
I am withdrawing the request for in-car (MVR) and separate audio recordings.
Please advise if fulfilling this request would exceed 15 hours of labor. If so, I am happy to work with the Custodian to further narrow the scope.
Please confirm receipt and the new seven business day deadline.

This email is in regards to the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request submitted on 03/27/2026 and received on 03/27/2026.
The Custodian of Records has deemed that additional time beyond the seven (7) business days is required to fulfill the request. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i.
