Your request states "Could you please look into this matter and confirm that there is now active list within these township...." which is not to purpose of OPRA.

The New Jersey Government Records Council states that “valid OPRA (Open Public Records Act) request seeks specific, identifiable government records.
Valid OPRA requests do not ask questions, do not seek information, and do not require a custodian to conduct any research or create a new record. When a request is “complex” because it fails to specifically identify the documents sought, then that request is not “encompassed” by OPRA.

If you are requesting a "Brady List" which is the only document referenced, I was informed by the Police Department that the Township does not maintain such a list.

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

A few months back I requested a list of any officers within the Police Department that fall under the Brady Rule. You recently released the documents pertaining to a Lawsuit involving Investigator Petrola entitled Estrada vs Township of Brick. In this Lawsuit it indicates numbers occasions where Investigator Petrola lied under oath or falsified a report. This would unequivocally call for him to be listed by the Department as a “Brady Officer” based upon the current laws.

Could you please look into this matter and confirm that there is now active list within these township and the Township is refusing to properly follow the legal standard.
