Good Afternoon,
In response to your OPRA request I have been advised that there are 65.53 hours of body cam footage from January 1st to March 31, 2024. Due to the extraordinary volume and redaction requirements I have determined that a special service charge is warranted and will be required in order to complete your request. Each minute of footage must be reviewed in order to redact footage which presents security or privacy issues and a time estimate has been prepared along with the hourly rate of the individuals who will be charged with this task. Based on this information, a deposit of $7000.00 (payable by cash or check to the "Borough of Mountain Lakes") is required. Once the fee is received, your request will start to be processed. You will receive the videos in piecemeal until your request is completed. Please let me know if you have any questions.
