I understand the time extension needed to fulfill my OPRA request of 1/14/21 due to COVID constraints.
If it would be possible to get the body cam footage and arrest record from Ivory Pardo's arrest on 1/9/21 within the legal response time that would be much appreciated.

The PD is attempting to complete your OPRA request which was submitted on 01/14/2021. You asked for BWC footage on January 9th, 2021 from 6am to midnight 01/09/2021. The police have discussed this request with the borough solicitor and he agreed that this request is overly broad and fails to address a specific document or incident. We are attempting to complete the request however were set back due to the global pandemic, which caused staffing issues in the police department. In addition, our body worn camera vendor has been unable to ship the required equipment needed to complete the request for the Body Worn Camera portion due to issues with employees getting COVID and also the extreme weather that has shut down the State of Texas. Once the equipment is received, installed and staff in the PD are properly trained on usage of the equipment, the request will be filled. We will continue, as we have been, to make a reasonable attempt to fulfill the request. Unfortunately until Texas opens back up and the equipment is shipped we cannot do anything further.

Mrs. Brouse we need to upgrade our server so that it will support the software needed to redact certain portions of the body worn camera footage. In total we purchased a new server, redactive software and cloud storage to fulfill this request. We are awaiting the weather emergency in Texas to subside so that the necessary equipment and software can be delivered, set up and we can be appropriately trained on its use.

Dear Jennifer,
The Borough is required to redact certain information which may contain personal identifiers of the individuals they contact, ex: dates of birth, social security numbers etc. This pertains to visual displays with that information and also verbal utterances of the same. The police department continues to work with their WatchGuard vendor in an attempt to expedite the process and get the equipment needed to complete your request. As indicated in previous correspondence with you they have made a reasonable attempt to complete the request given the global pandemic and also issues with unprecedented weather in Texas. The Chief of Police has informed me that they are actively seeking outside assistance regarding the redaction. We are hoping this will assist with the completion of your request.
