Please provide copies of all partisan and/or non-partisan candidate petitions filed for municipal offices and county committees in the municipality of Alpha. I trust that this request is detailed enough so the Acting Municipal Clerk can fill it without issue or further questions.

Yes. This is what I needed. There are many, many records in the Clerk's office. We need to make sure we are providing you with exactly what you are requesting which is why we need the resident to identify the exact record/records.
Your request stated:
"Names of Republican and Democratic candidates on Alpha's 2019 primary ballot" - this does not describe the actual record.
Next, you ask for "Include documents and petitions specific to this request" - "include documents and..." does not describe a record.
Your clarifying request is exactly what I needed to ensure that I am providing you with the "specific" record to which you are entitled to receiving.
