Dear Edison Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1-Construction Code Enforcement (especially all documents that exist as required by the N.J.A.C. 5:23 Uniform Construction Code including all permits [open or closed], inspections and approvals).
2-Tax office, including property tax record cards indicating the number of rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms as well as lot size including the property tax history.
3-Zoning Department-are there any pending applications or pending municipal projects that are within 200 feet of the property and/or that will impact the property?
4. Any information the municipality has regarding environmental problems and or hazards that may affect the subject property.

The Building and Zoning portion of your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days to fulfill. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available.
Your request requires an extension of time until 7/26/2024.
