We are currently in contract with this property and are wondering what the current usage of the Carriage house is? We are also wondering if we are able to use it as a primary home? Is there currently a CO on file?

The existing building at 8 Willow Brook can be used as your primary residence. You can renovate the structure as it is but adding on to the existing structure would require Zoning Board Approval. The question has been asked about a pool . The only location for a pool would be considered front yard . That would also require Zoning Board Approval to locate the pool in the front yard. We do not have a CO on file for the building. I hope I answered your questions . If we can be of further assistance please feel free to reach out.

Thank you - With your last email-Are we able to take half of the carriage house down to use as our garage and put a new home on the land ? Our thought s are to use the Carriage house as a guesthouse on the second floor and garage on the first.

I am forwarding your email to the Zoning officer Fred Andre. He will get back to you. I am pretty sure you will need to go to the Zoning Board for a new house. The existing structure would have to be demolished. I will feel better if Fred answers your questions. He has just gotten back from being away for a few days.
