Seaman, Sam, Toms River Police Department

Dear Anonymous,

I understand you requested the narratives for all the calls for 8/10/19.
We sent you the list only in case you were looking for a specific
incident.  There were 241 incidents on 8/10.  Printing, reviewing,
redacting and then copying again is a time consuming, manpower intensive
task.  Processing this will take several days to a week to complete.  The
normal incident report is 3 pages.  We need to print, redact and copy
again, so each incident could be 6 pages at a cost of .05 per page.  241 x
6 = 1446 pages.  1446 pages x .05= $72.30  That is only an estimate.  Some
incidents are not 3 pages, so the total would be reflected.  Kindly let me
know if this is acceptable.  Thank you.

Dear Seaman, Sam,
This is not acceptable and I will be filing a denial of access with the GRC.

I am sorry it is unacceptable. We sent you a list of all the calls for you to possible select the ones you were interested in. The quote is just that, a quote of the high end of the price. I certainly do not consider this a denial on our part.
