2025 Public Meeting Schedules
Dear Mercer County,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1) current 2025 public meeting schedule for the governing body
2) current 2025 public meeting schedule for each board, commission, and committee within your government

Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

RE: PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST of January 03, 2025, Reference # R007185-010325
Dear Sir/Madam:
This office serves as the custodian of records for the
County of Mercer under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA). We
are in receipt of your recent request for government records pertaining to
the above subject. Please accept the following response to same.
A request for "any" or "all" or "every" government record is
an improper request under OPRA. Spectraserv, Inc., 416 NJ Super. 555 (App.
Div. 2010). Without waiving the foregoing:
1. Please consult the Mercer County webpage, Mercercounty.org, and click
on "government" and then "Board of County Commissioners"
for the available 2025 public meeting calendar for the County
Commissioners.
2. Please consult the Mercer County webpage, Mercercounty.org, and click
on "boards and commissions" for the available 2025
public meeting schedule for the identified boards & commissions.
See generally, Rodriguez v. Kean University, GRC Complaint No. 2015 – 331.
If you believe there are any additional government records, please advise.
Grieco v. Boro of Haddon Heights, 449 N.J. Super. 513 (Law Div. 2015).
Yours truly,
Paul R. Adezio

Dear Mr. Adezio,
Regarding item #1, I cannot locate a 2025 meeting schedule for the Board of County Commissioners. See this page of the website you referred me to: https://www.mercercounty.org/government/...
The page reads: "For information regarding meeting schedules and public participation at meetings, please contact the office of the Clerk to the Board."
This circular logic leads back to the filing of my records request. I did the contact the Clerk of the Board and made a formal request for the schedule. Kindly provide a copy of the 2025 schedule as a .pdf attachment.
Regarding item #2, you directed me to a different section of the website, which includes more than two dozen subsections. A review of the subsections reveals that the requested information is not available on the website. Some of the subsections give a relative date for monthly meetings, such as "1st Monday of the Month- 7:30pm," though I'm sure there are exceptions to these rules that are not accounted for, such as Labor Day. Other subsections give insufficient information to know the actual dates of the 2025 meetings, such as "Held quarterly on Thursday's at 12pm" or "Scheduled upon receipt of Appeal request." Still, another simply states: "Meeting Schedule: TBD." Needless to say, these phrases do not meaningfully address my records request. Kindly provide the requested schedules as .pdf attachments. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Charlie Kratovil
