2023 police compensation and current contract.
Dear Edison Township Police Department,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
2023 pay report for sworn officers, including "pensionable" base salary w/longevity (where applicable) and all forms of financial compensation not included in base/pensionable salary, such as: holiday pay, uniform allowance, health insurance opt-out payments, extra duty/road job pay, overtime, cash-outs of comp and other types of accrued time, hazard or special pay, unit stipends, shift differential, etc. Base salary and total compensation will suffice, I am not asking for a separate column for every pay type unless such a report already exists.
I am also requesting a copy of the current collective bargaining agreement with PBA local 75.

Please indicate how would you like to receive the Collective Bargaining Agreement. By email as a PDF? Or printed out? Be advised, the cost to print out is .05 cents per page which amounts to $3.75.
Also, the 2023 pay report that has been requested has been forwarded to the HR department and will be handled accordingly by that department.

The Human Relations portion of your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days to fulfill. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available.
