The Township of West Milford received your request for government records
on September 17, 2020 pursuant to the Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”) to
which we assigned the above number for record keeping. 

There are no responsive records for this request from the Building
Department.

The Tax Assessor replied:

Surveys are not required to be filed with deeds in the State of NJ,
therefore, we have no survey.

Due to the Governor’s State of Emergency and the Township’s designated
Local State of Emergency related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), which
have resulted in significantly altered work schedules, including reduced
staffing in the Municipal Building, the Township requires additional time
to complete your request. See Scheeler v. N.J. Dep’t of Educ., GRC
Complaint No. 2014-123 (Feb. 2016), (validating extension
under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g), and N.J.S.A. 47: 1A-5(i) where custodian
provided written response within seven business days and provided
anticipated completion date). 

The Health Department anticipates that records readily identified as
responsive to your request, with any necessary redactions, will be
available to you by the close of business on October 30, 2020.  However,
due to the fluid status of the COVID-19 emergency, the Township reserves
the right to extend this date as necessary.
