Where in the ordinance does it state that someone with a criminal record cannot be employed or volunteer for the borough. Criminal records of all employees and volunteers of the borough
Dear Bellmawr Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1) Where in the borough ordinance does it state you cannot have a criminal record to be employed or volunteer for the borough
2) a complete arrest record of all borough employees and volunteers.
Thank you,
Bellmawr Resident
Per you OPRA request dated March 4, 2020
1) Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.f, an Open Public Records Act request
must request with specificity government records and not information. In
addition, under MAG Entm’t v. Div. of Alcohol Control, the Appellate
Division rule that OPRA “does not countenance open-ended searches of an
agency’s files, nor does it require government officials to “identify and
siphon useful information.” I have attached a link to our online code
book- [1]https://ecode360.com/BE0365
2) We do not maintain or keep complete arrest records for all borough
employees and volunteers.
