Please be advised that the HCPO response with a detailed list of the felony complaints as you requested has been copied and ready to send to you electronically.
However, there are approximately 300 pages, all 8 1/2 x 14, the cost for these copies is 7 cents a page.
Please remit a check payable to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in the amount of $21 and mail it to my attention.
Upon receipt of the check, the response and records shall be forwarded. Due the large volume, if you wish for the response to be mailed, or picked up at our offices, please let me know.

Please understand that the HCPO cannot send out a list of felony complaints directly from our data base. Each list has to be viewed and the confidential and exempt information under OPRA has to be redacted. Thereafter, a copy of the final list for each period of time requested has to be copied. On any given week, the HCPO could have received anywhere between 100 and 250 felony complaints, or more if certain defendants have several complaints filed against them. Each page can hold approximately 10 names of defendants with a list of the complaints charged. You have requested felony complaints for 6 weeks, which when copied came out to approximately 300 pages. Under OPRA the HCPO can charge a copying cost of 7 cents per page for 8 1/2 x 14 paper. It can be argued that the HCPO is not required under OPRA to even create such lists for a request. Nonetheless your request is fully prepared and ready to be emailed. Please submit the copying costs.
