Vehicle Purchases and Assignments
Dear Union County,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. List of all Ford explorers and/or Ford expeditions purchased between January 1, 2024 and present, for non-law enforcement use. Also, their purchase location and price.
2. List of all vehicles assigned to elected County officials and County employees, including the year, make, model of vehicle, and the name of the assigned person, between January 1, 2024 to present, not including law enforcement.
3. Provide any and all policies relating to vehicle operations, maintenance, and assignments governing these assigned vehicles to non law enforcement County elected officials and employees.
4. Proof of tax implication and IRS submission for the fringe benefit of county owned vehicle use for all County elected officials and employees for the time period of January 1, 2024 to present.
