Dear John Milner:
The County is in receipt of your request for “All vehicle maintenance
records for 2017,2018, and 2019.” Currently, your request fails to
identify with reasonable clarity the specific government records sought,
as is required by Bent v. Stafford Police Dep’t, 381 N.J. Super. 30, 37
(App. Div. 2005). At this time, the County is requesting clarification of
your OPRA request. Please respond within seven (7) days and identify the
specific government records sought so that the County may process your
request. Failure to provide written clarification of your request will
result in closure of this OPRA request.
Sincerely,
Daniele E. Reitsma
Dear Middlesex County OPRA Center,
The vehicle fleet at the prosecutor's office is entrusted to someone in the organizational chart of accounts; most likely a non-lawyer policeman at the rank of Lieutenant or Captain. His responsibility will be for maintenance of the fleet. For example, oil changes must be performed, tires must be rotated, windshield wipers replaced, etc. Given the size of the fleet, this can only be done through a constantly updated, centralized list. Please see the head of the police on this matter.
Yours sincerely,
John W. Milner
