Re: OPRA Request

Good morning:

The Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) received your Open Public
Records Act (OPRA) request on October 26, 2020. As such, the seven (7)
business day deadline to respond to your request is November 5, 2020. This
response is being provided to you on October 28, 2020, the second business
day after the custodian’s receipt of said request.

Your OPRA request sought access to the following documents:

“list of unclaimed property held with your office.”

Please be advised that OSC has no documents responsive to your request.
Accordingly, OSC considers its response to this OPRA request to be
completed.

Notwithstanding the above, please be advised that the more appropriate
agency to request such records from is the State Department of Treasury.
Their website is [1]http://www.unclaimedproperty.nj.gov/inde....

If you would like to submit your request to that division of Treasury,
follow this link [2]https://www-njlib.state.nj.us/NJ_OPRA/de...
In the dropdown box for “Department,” select “Treasury.” In the next
dropdown box for “Agency or Division,” select “Unclaimed Property
Administration.”

I hope this information is helpful.

Very truly yours,

Robert Shane
