Unclaimed Property
Dear Township Tax Collector or whomever this concerns,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Tax surplus list, preferably in Excel format. Overages that have not been claimed from years 2014-2020. Tax lien sale/mortgage foreclosure auction sale surplus funds that have not been redeemed after auction. Non municipal lien master file list. PDF format is acceptable IF excel is unavailable.
Yours faithfully,
Ben
Dear Ben:
In response to your OPRA request below, please be advised the County of Gloucester has no records in their possession responsive to your request as the Sheriff's Office does not hold any proceeds or surplus funds from Sheriff’s sales. These funds are immediately disbursed to plaintiff’s counsel and the surplus funds are immediately disbursed to the Trust Fund Account of the Superior Court. Tax liens are maintained by the individual municipalities.
This concludes the County's response to your request.
