Re: Tropicana Atlantic City Elevator Inspection Records

Good afternoon:

I am following-up on the attached OPRA request, which was received July 5,
2023.

The request was clarified by email on July 6, 2023.  The records you are
seeking are:

All elevator inspection reports for elevators located at Tropicana
Atlantic City 2831 Boardwalk from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

Please be advised, the request was sent to the Construction Department for
response.

The Construction Department has informed me that the requested records
consist of approximately 400 individual reports.

Due to the extraordinary expenditure of time and effort to accommodate
your request, a special service charge will be required.

(See N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.c.)

The special service charge is based on the actual direct cost of providing
the requested records.

The cost to provide the response would be $56.00 per hour, which
represents the hourly pay of the employee who maintains the elevator
inspection reports.

It is estimated that it will take 6 hours to compile the response.  The
total cost is estimated at $336.00.

There will be an additional charge of 5 cents per page to print the
reports.  The printed reports will be scanned and emailed to you.

If you would like for us to proceed with providing the response, a deposit
of $168.00 is required.

Kindly make check or money order payable to “City of Atlantic City” and
mail payment to the address listed below.

The remaining balance of $168.00, plus the copy charge of 5 cents per
page, would be payable prior to the response being released.

Re: Elevator inspection reports for passenger elevators with the
designation WTP-1, WTP-2, WTP-3, WTP-4, WTS-1,

and WTS-2 for the year 2022. this includes all devices on the said
elevators.
