Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

For the period from January 1, 2026 through the date this request is processed, I request:

All applications, permits, retroactive permit applications, approvals, denials, plans, or other records concerning the removal, cutting, clearing, or destruction of trees at the property, including grading and clearing permits and any approvals from the Township Engineer, Shade Tree Commission, Planning Board, Zoning Board, or Code Enforcement.
All inspection reports, inspector notes, photographs, complaint records, investigation records, status entries, compliance determinations, notices of violation, warnings, summonses, or other enforcement records concerning tree removal at the property.
Records identifying any individual, contractor, tree-care business, landscaper, or other entity reported to the Township as having performed or proposed to perform the tree-removal work.
Any records submitted to, obtained by, or reviewed by the Township concerning the registration, licensing, qualifications, or insurance of the person or business performing the work, including:
New Jersey Board of Tree Experts business registration or NJTC number;
Licensed Tree Expert or Licensed Tree Care Operator information;
certificates of liability insurance;
proof of workers’ compensation coverage; and
records documenting any Township verification of those credentials.
Records documenting the number, approximate size, species, condition, or location of the trees removed, including photographs, surveys, site plans, tree-removal plans, replanting requirements, replacement-tree requirements, or payments required in lieu of replanting.
All correspondence between the Township and the property owners, their representatives, or any contractor concerning tree removal, including tree removal performed in connection with bamboo cutting, removal, remediation, or work along the property line.

Please search the records maintained by Code Enforcement, Engineering, the Shade Tree Commission, Planning, Zoning, and any other Township department reasonably likely to possess responsive records.

If any responsive document contains exempt information, please redact only the exempt portion and provide the remainder.
