Good morning Mr. Timko,
I am in receipt of the following request:
• Please provide any memos, directives, instructions, emails and text
and/or messages to from and within the Police Department .
• Please provide any logs or documentation regarding the enforcement of
Police Department Failure to Keep Right Details including how many
summons and warnings were issued.
Please provide clarification to the above request. A custodian is
obligated to search her files to find the identifiable government records
listed in the Complainant’s OPRA request. A custodian is not required to
research her files to figure out which records, if any, might be
responsive to a broad and unclear OPRA request. You will need to provide
dates to which you want records searched and the names of the individuals
corresponding. Please be further advised that OPRA does provide for the
local public agency to assess a service charge in relation to extensive
requests.
Best regards,

Dear Surf City Borough,
I am searching to see if the borough police keep files on on failure to keep right details and enforcement. Has the Town Council specifically requested this enforcement from the Police department. Are there separate logs kept?
Yours faithfully,
Kenneth Timko
Hi Mr. Timko,
I have not been informed that Council requested enforcement on any given matter. Surf City is all one lane. Except for the Spur, which is a separate two lane section of the Blvd.. Other municipalities on LBI have two lanes on the Boulevard. With that, would you like to request a general log, if one is kept?
Best regards,
Christine Hannemann, RMC/CMR/QPA
