I am writing to request an internal review of Rochelle Park Township's handling of my OPRA request 'This request was basically denied, because it needs to come from the RP Republican Party, whose chairman is the one in question.'. Frank Valenzuela is refusing to provide this OPRA Request, stating he isn't obligated because he is no longer part of the Township Committee. My request is based on all the documents which were sent between himself and Attorney Joseph Rotolo, while Valenzuela was sitting as Mayor in Rochelle Park.

I'm not sure what occurred back when you request was originally sent, but I did forward on the request for the information to the appropriate individuals. Once I ear back as to if any documents exits I will let you know.
OPRA deals with the request of information that is available from government documents, any record that has been made, maintained or kept on file. An internal review would not be an opra request, as it does not ask for a specific record. But if there is a specific document, other then the ones request below, please let me know and I will look into it. Best, Maggie
