The arrest report, offense report, and investigation report regarding Ronald J. Kleinfield of Barnegat on or about April 15 2012. As previously reported in the Patch news. Patch reported the incident and name on April 18 2012.

The article reported the story as follows:
Ronald J. Kleinfield, 46, of Barnegat, filed a report with the Barnegat Police Department on April 15, alleging that a female Barnegat resident had stolen $600 from his motor vehicle on March 6th.

Officers took a report regarding the alleged theft and forwarded the case to agency detectives.

Detective Maryann Cirulli investigated the case and determined that Kleinfield had actually loaned the money to the female subject and had filed the police report in the hopes that it would expedite the return of the borrowed funds, police said.

Kleinfield was charged with the fourth degree offense of falsely incriminating another and was released on his own recognizance.
