Termination of Employee Pensions due to Death or Error
Dear Long Beach Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Please provide a copy of all correspondence to the divisions of pensions in which the Township has notified the division of a retiree or employee death from January 2010 to June 2020.
2. Please provide all correspondence concerning the termination of employee pensions due to death when they were in fact not deceased and required reinstatement of their pensions from January 2010 to June 2020.

Good morning,
In response to your OPRA requests, please be advised that as a result of the Statewide and local emergencies relating to COVID-19, the deadline to respond has been extended past the seven (7) business day requirement. Nevertheless, the Township is in the process of reviewing your various requests and preparing a response. Please be further advised that in addition to the emergency-related delay, the Township requires additional time within which to respond due to the extensive scope or your requests and expects to have a response to you on or before July 22, 2020. Of course, should the Township require additional time past that date, the Township will advise.
