Dear Borough Clerk,

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I hereby request the following government records:

All permits, applications, or approvals issued by the Borough of Matawan for use of Terhune Park on August 26, 2025.

Any rental agreements, facility use agreements, or licenses for use of Terhune Park on that date.

Any correspondence (including but not limited to emails, letters, or memos) between Borough officials and any individual, organization, or group concerning the use of Terhune Park on that date.

Any invoices, payments, or receipts related to the rental or use of Terhune Park on that date.

I request that the records be provided in electronic format (PDF or native format) by email. If any portion of this request is denied, please provide the specific legal basis for the denial as required by OPRA, and release all segregable portions of responsive records.

Please acknowledge receipt of this request and respond within the statutory timeframe.

We are in receipt of the below Request which has been forwarded to the appropriate Department.

In the interim, under N.J.S.A. 2C:28-3, we ask you to certify that:

1. I HAVE /HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States;

2. I, or another person, WILL /WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose;

3. I AM /AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

NOTE: A Requestor who is found to have sold the data obtained by a records request who is found to have intentionally failed to certify that a records request is for a commercial purpose who is a data broker or who is making the request on behalf of and for the use of a data broker, and if found to have intentionally certified that the requestor is not a data broker or is not making the request on behalf of and for the use of a data broker shall be subject to a civil penalty of $1,000 for the first offense, $2,500 for the second offense, and $5,000 for each subsequent offense. The penalties may be imposed by the courts.
