Somerset County,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

As a result of the Supreme Court of The United States' decision which finally exposed New Jersey's requirement of a "Justifiable Need" to exercise our 2nd Amendment Rights as UNCONSTITUTIONAL, it has since beed the duty of the court to simply process permits to carry a handgun as before, but without the unlawful "Justifiable Need" requirement. Somerset County Court has been one of several court systems in NJ which has been breaking the law, defying the SCOTUS decision, and violating the Rights of law abiding citizens. We therefore request the following information to determine why Somerset County Court's blatant FAILURE to uphold the law has continued far beyond a reasonable time period to put processes in which would allow court personnel to serve the public with efficiency and in a manner in accordance with the law.

-Any and all communications to/from the NJ Attorney General's Office regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all communications to/from the NJSP Superintendent's Office regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all communications to/from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all interoffice communications within the Somerset County Court Clerk's Office regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all communications to/from municipal police departments within Somerset County regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all communications to/from Firearms Rights groups/individuals/attorneys regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

-Any and all communications to/from private citizens regarding the processing of 2C:58-4 Permit to Carry a Handgun applications post SCOTUS Bruen Decision.

Please respond with the requested information forthwith. The unlawful, illegal, and unconstitutional actions of Somerset County Court personnel must cease immediately, and the 2nd Amendment Rights of the citizens MUST be respected.
