Dear Edison Township Police Department,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

Dear Edison Township Police Department,
I am following up in reference to my OPRA headed "Some police reports" sent on April 1st. If I'm not mistaken, this would be (at least) the 8th business day that has passed since my request, beyond the 7 business day limit, and I still have not received a response. I'm patient and capable of waiting, I would just like, if nothing else, an acknowledgement or reason for the delay, and/or a specific date by which I can expect to receive the information I've requested. Due to citizen's expectation of privacy under NJSA 47:1A-1.1, pedigree (ie: victim rights, reg., residential numeric, partial dob, DL, SSN, phone number(s), NIC number, print number) was redacted throughout the reports requested. Also, please be advised that mugshots are not releasable under 47:1A-9(A) and Executive Order 9. Any pertinent information related to a juvenile was also redacted under 2A:4A-60 as a Juvenile record.
