With regard to your OPRA request for “All social media posts, comments,
and associated information put onto both public or private Facebook
groups/pages or accounts by mayor Dave Fried via his personal Facebook
account,” please be advised that your request is overbroad and invalid
under OPRA.  Pursuant to Burke v. Brandes, 429 N.J. Super. 169 (App. Div.
2012), OPRA governs “requests for records, not for information.”  A proper
request under OPRA “must identify with reasonable clarity those documents
that are desired.” In order to validate your OPRA request please clarify
your request by specifying the documents you seek (i.e identify the type
of document and include a date range or subject matter). Also, you must
identify which private Facebook groups/pages you are referring to.
