As you are aware, I am the Business Administrator the for Shrewsbury
Borough Board of Education (the “Board”), which conducts and supervises
the schools of the Shrewsbury Borough School District (the “District”). As
such, I am in receipt of your OPRA request dated October 12, 2023. I am
sending this response, as I’m out sick. Your request sought the following:

A digital list of all employees hired by the Shrewsbury Boro Board of
Education. Please include their job title (non abbreviated) and union
affiliation, department they work in, hire date, and salary. Please
include full time staff, part time staff, substitutes, or
temporarily/seasonally employed workers. This list can be broken up if one
record does not exist containing all the requested information. But please
include all the requested information in the OPRA request. Thank you.

This communication shall serve as notice that I request an extension of
time to respond to your request until December 1, 2023. 

This extension is necessary due to the need to locate the requested
information, and compile same. In addition, the length of this extension
is necessary due to school closures related to the NJEA Convention, as
well as, Thanksgiving. OPRA allows for the Records Custodian to advise of
the need for an extension pursuant to N.J.S.A 47:1A-5.i. Specifically,
OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when
the record can be made available. If the record is not made available by
that time, access shall be deemed denied.”

time to respond to your request until November 8, 2023.

This extension is necessary due to the need to locate the requested
information, and compile same.. OPRA allows for the Records Custodian to
advise of the need for an extension pursuant to N.J.S.A 47:1A-5.i.

Just so there is no confusion since the Superintendent and I both asked
for an extension with different times. We are asking until December 1 but
are hoping to get it much sooner. The district is closed tomorrow and
Friday.
