SCBA Invoices
Dear Toms River FD1,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
All self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) purchase, testing, repair, hydrostatic testing and routine maintenance invoices from 2020 to present
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Michael
Dear Mr. Michael
This correspondence acknowledges receipt of your request submitted
pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et
seq.). In accordance with OPRA, please find attached SCBA purchase orders
and invoices for 2025 and 2026 to date.
For the years 2020 through 2024, only the purchase orders are attached.
The invoices for those years have been sent for microfilming and were
recently transferred to the microfilming company at the beginning of
March. Please let us know if the records provided are acceptable. If not,
we will need to contact the microfilming company to determine when the
full records will be available for review.
Please be advised that, under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5, you have the right to
request additional records or to appeal this determination if you believe
that access to public records has been improperly denied. With this
response, the records requested are being provided, and the matter may be
considered closed from the District’s perspective.
