Thank you for your earlier response acknowledging my OPRA request and indicating that additional time was needed, with a response to be provided on or before May 27th.
As of today, that date has passed and I have not yet received the responsive records or any further written explanation. Under OPRA, a custodian must respond to a request “as soon as possible” and generally within seven (7) business days, and any extension must be communicated within that time frame with a specific reason and a firm, reasonable date for completion.
Please provide, within three (3) business days:
1. The current status of my OPRA request.
2. A firm date by which the requested salary structure records will be provided electronically, as I originally requested.
3. If you contend that any portion of my request is exempt or will be denied, the specific statutory basis for each denial or redaction.
If I do not receive a substantive response or the requested records by that time, I will consider my options, including filing a denial-of-access complaint with the Government Records Council and/or an action in Superior Court to enforce my rights under OPRA.
