May I please have the attendance records for Jeff Bertand and Kate Kohri (she is no longer working for the Municipality).

May I also have a copy of any payments sent to Ms. Kohri for unused sick or vacation pay as shown on an agenda or via a hand carry.

Date Range: since I have no idea when Kate Kohri was hired I will say 2000 - December 16.2024 for both her and Mr. Bertrand.

As I mentioned this evening during public comment, I requested documents through OPRA Machine in PDF format. You have confirmed that the OPRA request can be fulfilled via PDF, yet these records are being withheld from public access on OPRA Machine. This raises concerns about transparency, especially since the municipality is funded by taxpayers.

In the past, I have noticed that blank or inaccessible links have been posted instead of the requested documents via a PDF. This practice is concerning and does not align with the principles of open government. I reiterate that I do not want links—I specifically requested PDFs, and I expect my request to be honored accordingly tomorrow on OPRA Machine otherwise I will have no choice to file a complaint with the GRC.

Additionally, I am attaching the attendance records for Michael Steitz, who recently retired. I find it alarming that the district’s tracking method results in a 153-page document to summarize an employee’s attendance over 25 years. This method lacks clarity, making it nearly impossible to determine whether Mr. Steitz has unused vacation or sick days that may be cashed out. Why has the municipality allowed this? I will reach out the DCA tomorrow as this is quite concerning to see as a taxpayer.
I strongly urge the municipality to work with the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to implement a more efficient and transparent system for tracking employee attendance and verifying payouts upon retirement. Taxpayers deserve a system that is both accountable and comprehensible.
