Rescue Squad Response Records
Dear Piscataway Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
It is stated by the Township that between January 13, 2021 and May 10, 2021, that the Rescue Squads:
- called “out of service” 29 times
- required mutual aid 179 times from an outside department
Please provide the dates and times the Rescue Squads called “out of servicie” and a running list of the 179 calls for which another service had to be called (CAD number, address, and responding unit to be included) for the above notes timeframe.

As per law governing OPRA requests, please note that a request is to be fulfilled within seven business days of receipt with the day after filing counting as day one.

Good morning:
Your OPRA request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business
days to fulfill. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the
requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made
available. If the record is not made available by that time, access shall
be deemed denied.”
Your request requires an extension of time until October 5, 2021.
