Request of Resumes submitted and additional documents related to 2025 hires
Dear Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Copies of any and all resumes provided by applicants and maintained by the district for ALL new teacher hires from January 1, 2025 to present. In addition, a complete list of the position they were hire for, starting salary (as approved by BOE), and assigned school for the 2025-2026 school year for the new hire(s). Lastly, please provide the number of applicants for each position that these new hires fulfilled (ie. a total of 7 applicants for grade 5 position at school ABC, Mary Smith was hired for this position starting salary 100k per year).

Dear Mr. Mattoon,
The District received the clarification of your request. An extraordinary
expenditure of time and effort is required to accommodate your request,
resulting in a special service charge as permitted under the Open Public
Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(c). It is anticipated that it will take a
substitute secretary a total of 14 hours to locate, pull, copy, redact,
and scan the resumes responsive to your request for "copies of all resumes
maintained by the district for all educators hired by the district from
January 1, 2025, to present". The resulting cost is $230.86 (14 hours at
$16.49 per hour).

in your first request. The special service charge related to this request
is $32.98 (2 hours at $16.49 per hour).
The total special service charge cost for both requests is $263.84.
