This request shall include any documents submitted by the applicant or on behalf of the applicants and or any documentation or communications from the Divison of Fire Safety to the applicants listed above for the following certifications and/or licenses: Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Operations, Technician & or Specialist, Incident Management Level 1, 2 & 3, Fire Officer, Fire Investigator, Fire Police Officer, Fire Inspector, Fire Official, Fire Instructor (Levels 1 and 2) and Drill Ground Instructor.

The New Jersey Division of Fire Safety ("Division") is in receipt of your government records request wherein you seek "the applications with the supporting documentation (submitted by the applicant or on behalf of the applicant) for any certifications and/or licenses issued or denied for the following persons: Scott Jenkins, Donald Derr, Kevin Brink, Gary Evers, and Jacob Zajdel. This request shall include any documents submitted by the applicant or on behalf of the applicants and or any documentation or communications from the Divison of Fire Safety to the applicants listed above for the following certifications and/or licenses: Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Operations, Technician & or Specialist, Incident Management Level 1, 2 & 3, Fire Officer, Fire Investigator, Fire Police Officer, Fire Inspector, Fire Official, Fire Instructor (Levels 1 and 2) and Drill Ground Instructor."
The Division reviewed your request and is sending certification and training records for Kevin W. Brink, Gary E. Evers, Donald W. Derr II, Jakub P. Zajdel and both Scott B. Jenkins and Scott R. Jenkins. The Division's records reflect that there are two "Scott Jenkins" in the system with different middle initials. Being that this request is anonymous, the Division has no ability to verify which "Scott Jenkins" is the one sought by you. Accordingly, the Division is releasing the certification and training records of both "Scott Jenkins." The attached records are all responsive records in the possession of the Division regarding certification and training of the individuals named by you. With the exception of renewal documents for Kevin W. Brink (attached), the Division has no other "applications with the supporting documentation (submitted by the applicant or on behalf of the applicant)." The Division believes that such records for all other individuals have been destroyed pursuant to the State and Department's record retention policies.
Please be advised that redactions of the responsive records have been made for personal identifying information (i.e., home address, home telephone number, cell telephone number, email address, date of birth and social security number).
Upon transmittal of this email and attached records, the Division will deem your government records request satisfied and closed.
