Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
Active Code Violation List Request for 06/01/2025to 09/01/2025. I kindly request a list of all UNRESOLVED or OPEN code violations (please do not include closed violations) for all properties in the city during this time period, specifically related to property maintenance, structural issues, and weeds, tall grass, water shutoffs, Mold/Mildew. Please include descriptions of the violations, property addresses, and violation dates, homeowner's name. I also prefer for the document to be sent here in OPRA, not in my email (sometimes it does not appear in my inbox).

Please provide these requests in excel or google sheets format, documents must be in format requested per OPRA

Thank you for your response to my Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request. However, I note that the records were provided in PDF format.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(d), when a requestor specifies a particular medium, the custodian of records must provide a copy in that medium if the public agency maintains the record in that format. Since spreadsheets are inherently maintained in electronic database form, I request that the records be provided in Excel (.xlsx) or Google Sheets format, as originally specified in my request.

Providing the records in spreadsheet format is necessary to allow sorting, filtering, and analysis, which is not possible with a static PDF.

Please re-issue the records in Excel or Google Sheets format. If you contend that the Borough does not maintain these records in such a format, please certify that fact in writing as required by OPRA.
