Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
Active Code Violation List Request for 06/01/2025to 09/01/2025. I kindly request a list of all UNRESOLVED or OPEN code violations (please do not include closed violations) for all properties in the city during this time period, specifically related to property maintenance, structural issues, and weeds, tall grass, water shutoffs, Mold/Mildew. Please include descriptions of the violations, property addresses, and violation dates, homeowner's name. I also prefer for the document to be sent here in OPRA, not in my email (sometimes it does not appear in my inbox).

Please provide these requests in excel or google sheets format, documents must be in format requested per OPRA

Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Thank you for your response regarding my OPRA request.

If the Borough does not maintain a centralized “list” of property maintenance violations, I respectfully request access to the underlying records from which such a list could be produced, including but not limited to:

Individual property maintenance/code violation notices

Open/unresolved code enforcement case files

Complaints, citations, or violation reports generated between June 1, 2025 and September 1, 2025

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g), a custodian may not deny access on the grounds that a record is not maintained in the exact format requested. If responsive records exist but are maintained in a different format (e.g., as case files or violation logs), they should still be provided.

If the Borough truly maintains no such records, please provide a written certification to that effect, as required under OPRA.
