Ms. Erin,

Please consider this email a request for clarification with regard to your
OPRA request dated February 17, 2024 (below). With regard to requests (5),
(6), (7) and (8) you have provided no search terms to utilize in order to
conduct an electronic search of this office's email records. With regard
to request (9), as well as your previous request for email records, I have
utilized your provided search terms of "Jason Samaritano" as well as "Erin
Samaritano". However, with regard to your current requests (5), (6), (7)
and (8), you have requested email records and described a subject matter
to which you want these emails to regard without naming any identifiable
search terms that can be utilized to perform such an electronic search
without requiring research not required of a Records Custodian.

Accordingly, this request for clarification is a request for search terms
that you wish to be utilized with requests (5), (6), (7) and (8) in order
to perform an electronic search of this office's email records.

Dear Stephen Sayer,

I thought that by stating "cell phone and SIM card of Jason Samaritano" that that would be enough. You can also add my name to the search as well. So possible search terms could be:
1) our names: Jason Samaritano and/or Erin Samaritano
2) Cell phone damage
3) SIM card missing
4) Missing cell phone
To enlighten you a bit, someone damaged one of the seized cell phone and took that cell phones SIM card and are now using it in another device. We can see that by searching through the phone using a new SIM card. The other cell phone that was seized went missing. Interestingly, I called that number in September and a woman answered stating that the office gave her the cell phone. Recently it was discovered that an Ocean County Assistant Prosecutor now has that phone number but we are not sure yet if she has the actual device. The device was 3 days old when State Police confiscated it without providing a receipt for either of the two cell phones.

I hope this helps. If you need anything further please don't hesitate to ask. I appreciate your time and patience.

Yours Truly,
Erin Samaritano
