Request for minutes regarding the consultation and compilation of Ordinance #2024 - HPC
Dear Red Bank Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
On January 11th, 2024, Red Banks mayor and council proposed Ordinance #2024-03 and passed it on to RB's Planning Board, for consultation. This resulted in a Zoom-only public meeting on January 16th, 2024.
During the January 11th M&C meeting Councillor Bonatakis stated:
"We’ve been working on this for many months in order to set the Historic Preservation Commission “HPC” on the right foot. I want to thank everyone who has provided their input along the way. Residents – both within and outside the historic districts, Shawna Ebanks, expert legal counsel, and my fellow council members." - Minutes of m&c meeting 1.11.2024
I request that the borough present to me, the minutes of meetings regarding the consultation and compilation of this Ordinance, including lists of attendees.
I also request minutes of the Planning Board meeting , held via Zoom on the 1.16.2024, ostensibly to present this ordinance to the public.
These are all documents which should be held by the borough under its own expressed policy, and anyway should be freely available under the provisions expressed in para: 1
