Request for Employee Payroll Records
Dear Seaside Park Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1) Records sufficient to show the total pay for each current or former municipal employee, including part-time and seasonal employees between 8/30/2025 and 1/2/2026.
If possible, please include the total pay AND breakdowns by categories such as base pay, hourly rate of pay, overtime hours worked, overtime pay, and any other forms of extra compensations such as stipends, allowances, bonuses, reimbursements, payments in lieu of health benefits, transportation, etc.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Dear Records Custodian,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to follow up on my Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request, which I submitted on January 4, 2026, regarding borough employee payroll records.
As you know, under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i, a custodian is required to grant or deny access to a government record as soon as possible, but no later than seven business days after receiving the request. My original request was submitted on January 4, 2026, the seven business days have passed without a response. This failure to respond is, by statute, considered a denial of the request.
Please consider this email a formal notification that a response is now overdue.
I request that you promptly provide the requested records or a formal written denial with the reasons listed, as required by law. If the records are not currently available or require a special service charge, I request you advise me of the estimated time and cost as soon as possible.
If you need any additional information or clarification from me to fulfill this request, please do not hesitate to contact me.
